North-West Bali

Located on the North Coast one hour’s drive from Gilimanuk to the West and Lovina to the East. The area is now known mainly for its proximity to some of the best diving in Bali, as well as the mainland Barat National Park to explore for some unique land-based flora and fauna.

Directions once you reach the North coast road.

From the East (Singaraja/Lovina/Seririt) pass the Pulaki Temple into Pemuteran. A further 4km you reach the signs for Reef Seen directing you down a track towards the sea. Keep going down the track to the end and you will be here.

From the West (Gilimanuk), about 3.5 km after the Pertamina filling station (on the right) you will see our signs for Reef Seen directing you down the track towards the sea. Same track as before – we are at the end on the beach.

Transport

You can hire a vehicle and drive yourself around. It can be confusing, seems like there are no rules of the road, with a multitude of signs and many motor bikes and big trucks to contend with.

A safer and simpler way is to hire a driver with the car.

We can organize a pick up within Bali through a local driver co-operative. We just need to know where and when to collect you for us to quote a price and estimated journey time.

You can hire a taxi or driver at the airport (fixed price) or negotiate with one from your hotel or the side of the road anywhere, but be careful to check the quality of the vehicle and fix a price before getting in. Most are quite reliable but there are a few who like to take advantage of tourists.

Or use the public bus / bemo which run during the day; can add to the adventure of your travels, certainly will take longer but cost a fraction of the price for a private car.
